Finally got the avatars plug-in to work, you can select the photo, icon, image that best represents you, globally seen across the entire LouieAlvarez.com website.

When you register at LouieAlvarez.com and login you’ll notice on the right hand side a Control Panel three (3) choices: Dashboard, Edit Profile, Logout. Simply click on the Edit Profile and update as thoroughly as possible.

Name: This is the All Things Laser website, you shouldn’t have to or want to hide behind obscure names, so like me you should enter your birth given name that you’re surely proud of.

Contact Info: To take full advantage of the other members knowledge and assistance be sure to add your email, website, other info.

About Yourself: Take a moment and tell us about yourself, who, what, where, etc.

Password: Since LouieAlvarez.com generates a random, impossible to remember password, you’ll want to change your password to something memorable.

Avatar Upload: Now to the all important Avatar, at the bottom of the “Edit Profile” page you’ll see an area to add your Avatar, simply click on the browse button and search for a nice image you would like to be recognized with. Keep in mind that this image should not be offensive in any manner (it will be deleted and you will be reprimanded) and will be seen globally no matter where you post a comment, i.e., blog, forums, classifieds, etc.

NOTE: Don’t have an icon, photo, image worthy of you? Here is a site I use: Free Icons Web you’ll find thousands of images to use, simply search for one of interest, download to your computer to a known location, the follow the steps noted above.

Email Preferences: Finally select choose your email preferences, I would suggest selecting/checking both so you can be kept up to date on LouieAlvarez.com the All Things Laser website!
