LouieAlvarez.com now ONLINE

FINALLY! After a week of installing mySQL (database), PHP (operating language), WordPress (blog) and SinglePress (forum) and configuring all these new options, LouieAlvarez.com is finally online. Mind you I’m not running Linux with Apache but instead on Windows Server 2003 with IIS6.0 which requires quite a bit more work, troubleshooting, fine-tuning, etc. Got it all done and intact now. And the combination is most impressive, very fast, easy to maintain, update and manage.

Now that the programming portion is complete it’s time to populate the system with content. Worked out all the images on the main page, added the appropriate links and categories, made the Contact as thorough as possible, the About is brief but when time permits will get into specific details as to what Blog.LouieAlvarez.com is all about. Started off the Podcast page (soon to be populated) and now need to edit my first podcast, the initial podcast is merely an introduction of me, the blog, the Laser Lowdown podcast and what the topics of the show will entail. A lot of work to put all this together, no wonder I couldn’t find another source such as this anywhere on the net short of a forum.
